Q Explain pseudo solids or super cooled liquids? OR why glass panes fixed to windows or doors of old buildings are invariably found to be slightly thicker at the bottom than at the top?

SOLUTION     Amorphous solids do not have definite geometry and sharp melting point. Under the impact of temperature and pressure, they have the tendency to flow but in very slow manner. Because of their flowing property they resemble with liquids and called pseudo solids or super cooled liquids.
